Facial Reflexology

What is Facial Reflexology?

Facial reflexology is where the reflexologist works specific points, known as reflexes, on your face. It involves gentle, precise movements and can be deeply relaxing as well as a great holistic health treatment.

The face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read and respond to what is going on within a person’s systems, organs and structures. We aim to bring balance to the reflexes in the face to help balance the entire body.

Advanced Facial Reflexology ™ - The Bergman Technique

I offer Advanced Facial Reflexology ™ using the Bergman Technique.  This amazing technique uses precise, gentle, subtle movements and is a deeply relaxing holistic therapy. It combines the health benefits of other reflexology treatments with a beauty element of hydrated, naturally glowing skin.

Wherever possible I use Neal’s Yard Rehydrating Rose Facial Oil or Rejuvenating Frankincense Facial Oil that not only feel amazing but smells divine too. An alternative is available for those who would prefer it.

Facial or feet reflexology?

If you have particularly tickly feet, or have injured your feet, toes, ankles, have athlete’s foot, fungal infection, verrucas or you simply are not comfortable with someone touching your feet, choosing facial reflexology is a great option.

If you would like a healthy, facial glow which has been achieved naturally this would make facial reflexology a good choice.

What is Facial Reflexology?

How can Facial Reflexology help?

During your treatment all the areas of your face (reflexes) will be softly but precisely worked. By using a combination of movements, all the reflexes associated with the body’s main organs, structures and systems will be worked, providing the chance to rebalance and any possible congestion eased. Good balance and flow generally equates to good health.

The deep relaxation that you will experience is an important part of the process of healing. It is possible that facial reflexology can be even more effective than other forms of reflexology for some conditions that you may be suffering, and as some reflexes in the face are in closer proximity to the areas affected by certain conditions there could be greater positive impact. These aspects and conditions may include sinuses, ear congestion, Bell’s Palsy, anxiety and migraine

Facial reflexology also encourages good blood flow around the face and gently stimulates the numerous nerves, helping your face feel and look smoother and more toned.

What happens in facial reflexology treatments?

You will be made comfortable in a reclining chair. You will remain fully dressed but can take off your shoes if you wish and there will be soft throws to make sure you stay warm.

The treatment will start with some gentle actions with my hands to encourage circulation and flow in your upper arms, neck and face. Then I will begin applying pressure to stimulate specific points (reflexes) on your face with my fingers or thumbs. All actions are gentle and precise and aim to activate or rebalance the reflexes and therefore rebalance your systems.

At the end of your treatment you will be offered a drink of water and given a little time to discuss your treatment.

If I have inspired you to try this fabulous holistic treatment please have a look at the options below and book online or get in touch via   or call me to discuss what would suit you best.
